Literacy

This term in school we would be learning about 'The 3 Little pigs' 

This week we would be reading the story, watching the story and taking about the wolf's character.

What is the setting of the story?

Is the wolf a good or bad character?  What words could we use to describe him?

Job 3 - What kind of character is the wolf?

Have a large piece of paper on the table with a picture of the wolf.  What kind of character is he? what does he look like? Can we think of a variety of words to describe him?  This is a taking activity so parents can either discuss words or write down what your child has said.  eg Bad/ mean/ unkind/ sharp teeth/ black/brown/grey fur/ pointy ears/ sharp claws

 

Maths

 

This week I would like you to look at the number 7.  How can we split the number 7.  Using objects can the children make 7 in a variety of ways.  Use the part whole model sent home.  Can you try to record your findings.
