Welcome To Class R!
We joined in with the take 10 challenge - we stopped what we were doing and shared a book for 10 minutes.
Our theme this week is based all about the story 'The Gruffalo'. We would normal look at this book for World Book Day but this year we are looking at the book all week! All activities are in the work packs and must be collected on 1.3.21. They are all based around the Gruffalo story. It would be lovely if on Thursday you could dress up as a character from a book and send me a photo of this for our website! Looking forward to seeing you soon.
Good morning! I hope you are enjoying your half term and staying safe! A little reminder that packs are ready to collect on Monday 22nd February at 9.30am. Please return any work your child has done and I will mark it during the week. Please bring your reading book back and I will change it. Please remember it i very important that you collect your work packs and it is an expectation that they do the work provided and return the following week.
Look forward to seeing you.
Don't forget to email me or Miss McCaffrey any photos of what you have been up to!

We are working very hard to provide these packs for your child to keep up with their education. If you have access to the website please watch the videos and complete any extra work if you choose to.

If you return your reading book then you will be able to take a new one away with you. If you have lost or damaged these books then please pay £2.50 on the school paying system. ALL children will have a book at home. Most books would have been given out before the Christmas holiday break so please have a search in your house.

Good morning everyone! I hope you are doing well and staying safe. I have uploaded some phonic videos for the week. Please let you children watch these videos.
Picking up your work packs. Just a little reminder ….it is very important that you collect your work packs once a week. This will be every Monday between 9.30 and 10.00 am. If you have any problems collecting due to Covid symptoms then please let us know.
Thank you to all the parents who have collected your packs and working hard with your children.
Good morning all, I hope you are keeping safe and to the families who are unwell I hope you recover quickly.
I hope you have all been busy with the work packs you collected on Wednesday. If you have not collected yet please collect on Monday 11th at 9.30 for next weeks work pack.
On the Monday 18th when you collect your next work pack please return the work your child has done. There will be a box for you to put it in. Please be aware I will leave these in the box for 48 hours before I start to look through them.
Please look at the links on our class page for phonic and maths videos for your child to join in with. I do have more videos but I am having a slight technical issue with uploading them onto our page but they will be on ASAP.
Please remember to email myself or Miss McCaffrey with any questions or if your child is wanting to say hello or to tell me about their day. We would love to hear from them! It is important that you support you child with the work packs and by watching the videos. If you child is struggling to write their name then please support them with this. In their book bag they should have their name writing card along with a pen and rubber. They should also have number cards to order along with a phonic mat to help read and write letters.
If a member of your household becomes ill with Covid please make school aware by calling our school office. 0115 9151567
Remember to stay safe everyone! We are missing seeing the children.
Home Schooling Support
I hope everyone is doing well and have collected the work packs from school today. There is a work pack for this week and next week. The next collection for work packs will be on Monday 18th at 9.30 then each Monday after that at the same time. The work I am sending is linked to what we would normally be doing in class to the best of our ability. In the early years we learn a lot through play so please encourage your child to play at home. It is an important time to also keep them active. I have put some links below with some ideas of keeping active inside.
'just dance' on you tube is another fun active resource
If you need any support or have any questions then please feel free to email either myself or Miss McCaffrey on the following emails. Please be patient with our responses and we are in and out of school and I have my own children to home school also. But we will respond as soon as we can.
Please take the time to work with your children with the work we have set for them. Please remember not to do the work packs all in one day.
