Week 3 and 4
We have been trying to skate by ourselves straight away. Well done to the children who are being brave and challenging themselves.
Week 2 Ice Skating
Wow! The children were so much more confident this week. Lots of children tried to skate without the penguin.Everyone was impressed.
Class R Ice skating
Here we are at our first week ice skating. All the children tried hard to be confident to skate with their penguin. A few children were confident to skate without their penguin!
On Thursday afternoons some children have been doing art activities with Miss Chambers and Miss Greyson.
We have been making seaside pictures, paper mache fishes and printed colourful people.
We had great fun!
Some children helped Miss Chambers to plant flowers in Class R's playground. We are looking forward to watching them grow.
Happy Easter holidays!
Some of the children helped make Easter nests for all the children. We also looked at different Easter food recipes for example how to make Easter eggs.
If you do any cooking over the Easter holidays, take some photos and come and share them in class.
We have been so lucky to have Miss Meier's pet guinea pigs Frank and Phil visiting our class. The children have enjoyed learning about them, feeding them , holding them and cleaning their cage. Ask your children about them.
Here are all our Christmas celebrations from having our Christmas dinner, Christmas jumper day, our Christmas performance, a visit from Santa and our fantastic Christmas party with all the games and food. Then a photo of all the children who received a special excellent behaviour certificate for the Autumn Term. Wow!
Here are our lovely cakes decorated with smarties for Children in Need. MMmmmmm!!!!
Also we have our winner for the design some pj's competition. Well done.
We have been making cakes for Children in Need. 6 Chefs mixed and measured the ingredients and put the mixture into the cake cases. They worked very hard as a Team. Well done.
Over the last week the children have been learning about Diwali. the Festival of Light, celebrated by Hindus, Sikhs and Jains around the world.
The children learnt the story of Rama and Sita and the children made a diva lamp. Diva lamps are used to decorate people's homes during the celebration.
We have been making rockets for Bonfire night. We turned a rectangle into a cylinder and a circle into a cone. We also ordered numbers onto the fire.
We are enjoying our first weeks in Class R. Here are some of the activities we have been doing.
