SUNFLOWERS
Hurray our Sunflowers are growing at last! Are yours growing at home?
Summer
This week we are having fun. We have a 'Beach' in the Nursery and our home corner is a beach café. We have made icecream cones.
Happy Eid
We celebrated Eid with a little party and the children told us how they celebrated Eid with their families.
Jiggle Wiggle and Chatterpillars
This month we have been very happy to welcome
'Small Steps Big Change'
to Bentinck Nursery.
Small Steps Big Change (SSBC) is a programme of activities designed to give every child the best start in life.
So far we have had 2 sessions in the morning and we are looking forward to the children in the afternoon having a turn next week.
We have a few photographs of the children getting very excited as they play with the parachute. Look out for parents joining in!
Summer Term
This term we will be talking about homes and the different rooms in our houses.
We will begin by looking at the story of The 3 Little Pigs.
We will also look at textures and what we use to build a house.
Nursery Free Choice
The children are learning to make friends and play together building with the blocks to make a hospital.
They are sharing books together and talking about 'Space.'
They are using their fine motor skills to balance marbles and clip the pegs on the boxes.
They are writing and drawing on the whiteboard.
Fruit
This week we have been learning about fruit and had the stories of Handa's Surprise and Oliver's Fruit Salad.
We enjoyed making fruit kebabs using bananas and pineapple chunks.

Crazy Photographs
We hope you love our crazy photo's.
We chose a hat and an instrument to play and we stood in front of a 'Green Screen.' Then we chose our favourite background. Wow don't we look amazing.

The eggs have hatched!
We have enjoyed going to see the new Chicks that have hatched. We have seven Chicks and they visited the Nursery yesterday. We drew some fabulous pictures.
Winter wonderland
We did lots of lovely activities during our Creative Week.
Physical Skills
Look how we are learning to balance and use the pedals on the bikes outside.
The Three Pigs
Our story this week is the Three Pigs. We are also using the colour pink during our activities.
Teddy Bears Picnic
We have been listening to the story of Goldilocks and the 3 Bears. On Friday we had a Teddy Bears' Picnic. The children could choose their favourite soft toy to bring in. We had lots of fun and the bears and toys played in the Nursery with the children. Enjoy our photographs.
Anti-Bulling Week - 13.11.17
This week is Anti-Bulling Week at School.
We have made a picture of ourselves and the Year 6 Class came to help us.
Bonfire Night
We've certainly heard lots of bangs and seen loots of sparkle over the last few weeks, as people celebrated Bonfire Night. We've also had lots of sparkle in the Nursery too!
Pat a Cake, Pat a Cake, Baker's Man
This week we have been learning the Pat a Cake, Pat a Cake, Baker's Man rhyme as well as reading the Mr Bump story. We have had the Doctors' sets in our Home Corner. On Thursday we celebrated Diwali by doing some Indian Dancing and making Rangoli Patterns. We have some lovely photographs to show you.
