TRACK & TRACE

Dear Parents/Carers

Returning to school in September with COVID presented us with many challenges. We have a strong and positive team of staff at Bentinck and with the support of our wonderful families we have all worked together to ensure our school has remained COVID FREE for the whole of the Autumn term. We want to say a huge thank you to you all.

Please continue to work with us and support us, in the Spring Term, when we return to school to ensure we remain a safe and healthy school.

If anyone in your family develops any symptoms of COVID-19 or there is a positive case during the two week holiday you MUST report this to the HEAD TEACHER immediately – Mrs Jane Nunez – using the following email – headteacher@bentinck.nottingham.sch.uk

We aim to continue keeping all our families and staff safe and well. Please keep helping us to do that.

THANK YOU

The symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) are usually mild, but some people can become very unwell.

Main symptoms

The main symptoms of coronavirus are:

  • high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)
  • new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)
  • loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you've noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal

Most people with coronavirus have at least one of these symptoms.

Urgent advice:

If you develop symptoms of COVID-19, you must immediately self-isolate and arrange to have a test to see if you have COVID-19

Visit NHS.UK to arrange or contact NHS 119 via telephone if you do not have internet access.

Staying at home if you have symptoms (self-isolation)

If your symptoms are mild you must not leave your home. This is called self-isolation.

  • Anyone with symptoms must self-isolate for 10 days from when their symptoms started.
  • Anyone who does not have symptoms must self-isolate for 10 days from when the first person in your home started having symptoms.
