In Class 5C we have been very busy. We have been learning all about telling stories, reading and writing myths and legends and have all produced a picture book about Robin Hood for Class 2.
We did lots in maths including estimating and measuring which was quite tricky!
We were really lucky to work with a professional dancer and had weekly workshops where we learnt to express ourselves and our feelings to music. It was great fun!
Just before the winter holidays we had a recycling workshop and everyone sewed a festive decoration. Although it’s a little while ago we were so proud of them we wanted to put them on here!
Our topic has been rivers and we have learnt about the Trent and the Amazon. We are looking forward to learning all about the rain forests next half term and we can’t wait to put more of our work up to show you!
To tie in with our watery topic the children who do art on a Friday afternoon have used this as a starting point for their artworks. Have a look at the beautiful water colour paintings they produced.
We hope you enjoy looking at our work!
We have been on a couple of visits to Nottingham University where we found out about university life. We had a fantastic time although we were worn out from all the stairs we had to climb.
We really enjoyed performing 'The Day the Crayons Quit' for our assembly. Everyone had a part to play. If you didn't manage to come to see our performance here are some photographs.
