Thank you to all of our children, parents and families who are working with us during this difficult time of COVID 19 and school closure. Our class pages are full of great ideas for you to use at home. Please come and collect packs of paper and pencils to help you with your great work at home. We are open between 9am and 11 am each Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Class 1

Welcome to Class 1!

I hope everyone is refreshed after the half term break!  This term we have some fun ideas planned to excite the children!  We will start the term with Creative Week, learning all about Italy.

In our literacy topic we will be learning all about 'Under The Sea'.  We will be researching sea creatures and writing facts about them as well as learning to write Poetry.

In numeracy we will be working hard on number fluency to become confident mathematicians.  We will also be learning problem solving skills, time, directions and positional language.

In topic our topic is 'Oceans'.  We will be finding out what oceans and seas there are in the world.  We will also be working on map skills and looking at physical and human features of our world.  We will touch on directions (North/South/East/West) to link with our maths work.

School Trip to White Post Farm!

Have a read of our amazing Under The Sea acrostic Poems.

The children have really enjoyed having caterpillars in our class.  They have watched them grow into bigger caterpillars then they made a chrysalis and then changed into a butterfly.

The children watched them fly away to their new home.  They were very excited and waved good bye!
