Our school is committed to safeguarding and ensuring the welfare of children and expects all employees and volunteers to share this commitment.

Physical Education

Our aim is to encourage children to take an active part in their own progress and development during P.E. lessons. Each child will be involved in at least one, hour long, P.E. lesson each week, and there are a variety of after-school clubs throughout the year. During the 2017/18 academic year, classes have taken part in the following sports:

  • Real P.E. (developing fundamental skills through games and activities, linked to the National Curriculum).
  • Ice skating.
  • Tennis.
  • Athletics.
  • Handball.
  • Gymnastics.
  • Tennis.
  • Cricket.
  • Urban hockey.
  • Netball.

We work closely with coaches provided by Premier Sport and The National Ice Centre to ensure that children are giving high quality instruction. This also allows staff to develop their own CPD, improving their ability to deliver learning within P.E. lessons.
