Year 4 Winner!!
Congratulations to our Class 4 winner, whose painting of Trent Bridge came 3rd overall for Year 4 pupils in Nottingham City Schools. What a great achievement. If you're in the school playground look up at the Year 4 Classroom, we have displayed some of the other fantastic paintings on the windows.
Happy 9th Birthday and Happy Birthday Your Majesty! One of the Class 4 pupils shares her 9th birthday with Her Majesty, The Queen who is 90 today! She brought in a yummy fruit bouquet, made at her Dad's fabulous shop, for the children and teachers to share. Thank you very much. The Birthday balloon ended up floating to the ceilling when Mrs Chapman cut the ribbon by mistake, whoops!
Congratulations to all the Class 4 children who achieved 100% attendance during the Spring Term. Here is a picture of them all with their well deserved rewards!
Class Four practised their reading skills during a guided reading lesson. Mrs Chapman set each pupil a reading comprehension task in Reading Eggs or Reading Eggspress. The class were able to show off their excellent ICT skills at the same time!

Great Orchestra Experiment, Albert Hall, Nottingham. Class Four played their trumpets and baritones alongside the Robin Hood Youth Orchestra at the Albert Hall Nottingham. The children loved the lightsaber violin bows and the smokey special effects!

Class 4 enjoyed dressing up for World Book Day and lots of children were very generous with their charity donations, thank you. The children spent the morning reading and writing fantastic book reviews about their favourite books. They are proudly displayed in the classroom book corner for visitors to take a look!
Next half term Class 4 will be learning about why Christians celebrate Easter. So far we have talked about Shrove Tuesday (Pancake Day) and Lent. The best part was mixing batter and eating yummy pancakes!
Class 4 used their knowledge of conductors and insulators to create switches to complete a circuit.
Class 4 demonstrated great teamwork during a maths investigation. They used addition skills to help them find a solution to the problem. Well done!

Class 4 enjoyed eating Christmas dinner together. We loved wearing Santa hats and sharing the jokes in our Christmas crackers!!

Class 4 have been using dictionaries to find the meaning of words used in our Roman topic.

Class 4 are learning to play brass instruments this year - Baritone and Trumpets. If we leave the classroom windows open on a Friday afternoon you may be able to hear them playing!

To Celebrate Queen Elizabeth II being the longest reigning monarch Class 4 made their own crowns to commemorate the occasion.
