Pirate treasure hunt!
Key Stage 1 had a pirate afternoon on their last day of school! They dressed up, made pirate hats and even went searching for treasure(chocolate coins)!
We had a great time and luckily no one had to walk the plank, arrr!
Some of us even had a go at pirate dancing...
We used our maths skills to make this yummy tray bake!
We had to read the recipe instructions and weigh out the correct amount of ingredients using the scales. We then had to mix it all together and put it in the fridge to set.
Our careful measuring and mixing meant that the tray bake tasted delicious!
Lifecycle came to teach Class 1 how to ride bikes. We had to think about what was good to wear when riding a bike and also how to stay safe when riding a bike. All children had a go on the balance bikes and then some went on to ride on pedal bikes with no stabilisers! Some children even had a go at going around cones and had to concentrate on controlling their bikes carefully. It was great fun!
Dan the Skipping Man!
We were lucky to have a visit from the fantastic Dan the Skipping Man - he taught us lots of different ways to skip, even those of us who thought we couldn't do it! At the end of the day there was a show for the whole school and some of us in Class 1 took part.
We think you can tell from the photos that we all enjoyed it!
