Children in Need Choir

Here is our full performance of Somewhere over the Rainbow for the BBC Children in Need show...

 Children in Need Choir!

Bentinck School Choir have been picked to be a part of the Children in Need Choir! We will be performing alongside other school choirs around the country for the Live Children in Need Show on November 17th at the Albert Hall in Nottingham!

On Friday 13th October BBC East Midlands came to Bentinck Primary School to film us rehearsing the Children in Need song. A few children were interviewed about what it feels like to be chosen as part of the choir and what they thought of the song. We have been working hard to learn the lyrics and do a good job representing our school as part of the Children in Need Choir!

Eva Cassidy- Songbird

Songbird Lyrics:

Songbird – Eva Cassidy

For you, there'll be no crying

For you, the sun will be shining

'Cause I feel that when I'm with you

It's alright

I know it's right

And the songbirds keep singing like they know the score

And I love you, I love you, I love you

Like never before

To you, I would give the world

To you, I'd never be cold

'Cause I feel that when I'm with you

It's alright

I know it's right

And the songbirds keep singing like they know the score

And I love you, I love you, I love you

Like never before

Like never before

Like never before

Songbird Lyrics

Choir practices will take place after school this half term, starting on Thursday 26th February and running until we break up for Easter on Thursday 2nd April.

Could you please collect your child at 4.15pm, unless they are a Year 6 pupil with permission to walk home alone.

Our choir have been very busy preparing for all of their festive performances!

They represented our school brilliantly at the switching on of the Canning Circus Christmas Lights on Thursday - a big thank you and well done to all of the children who took part and the families who came to support.

Here are a few pictures of us singing in our Santa hats!
